Who are we?

Family

The Rigotti family name is associated around the world with people who make a difference in their fields.

Why this should be is not obvious to us, let alone anyone else, but we do seem to consistently do things a little differently. We may not always be the smartest person in the room, or the most creative, but by approaching problems from a different direction we make progress where others have not.

Individuals

Kevin began his career by designing algorithms for computer-assisted Air Traffic Control and measuring the effect on problem solving workload. Analysis work on collision avoidance in civil airspace and mission systems in fast jets led to a job reviewing flight test evidence and giving advice on risk mitigations. Pondering why smart people still produce products that do undesirable things provided the motivation for a masters degree in User Experience Design and the subsequent doctoral research that was completed in 2022.

Feedback

This website exists to provide information, not to collect it, so it uses simple hypertext and stylesheets, with no scripting, and no personalisation. It does not need to remember anything about you, so has no consent dialogue because it needs nothing from you but your time.

It would be useful to know what you found useful, and what you expected to find here if it is missing. We would rather you voluntarily told us, rather than us trying to guess from analytics or other snooping.
